My maternal grandmother had distant roots in Bulgaria.
She would make this cake for the whole family, turning it into something more than just food — it became a moment of togetherness.

Over time, my mother learned the recipe and turned it into a tradition we repeated almost every weekend.

As a child, I loved spending time with her in the kitchen.
Without realizing it, those moments were shaping something that still lives on today.
